Abolition of pensions' protected rights: issues for employers, trustees and members

Protected rights are to be abolished from 6 April 2012. From that date no new protected rights will accrue, active members contracting-out on a protected rights basis will automatically be contracted back in to S2P and the existing statutory restrictions on protected rights will fall away.
