On 7 February 2012, the Thai cabinet approved a Ministry of Commerce proposal to sign a Memorandum of Bilateral Cooperation between the Department of Intellectual Property of Thailand and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The goal of this bilateral cooperation is to develop the Intellectual Property regime in Thailand by using existing resources.
