Overview

The Vietnamese insurance sector has only recently come into existence, with the Law on Insurance Business No. 24/2000/QH10 enacted just over ten years ago on 9 December 2000.

However, after a decade of application, many issues have arisen. To enhance the insurance business environment and to keep pace with international practice, in December last year, Law No. 61/2010/QH12 was passed to amend the Law on Insurance Business .
