In this article, ENS's Steven Powell argues that the UK Bribery Act has many aspects that South African authorities should draw on to bolster their anti-bribery initiatives. As well as describing the current state of corruption in South Africa, Powell outlines how if the authorities in South Africa were to adopt procedures of a similar nature to those contained in the UK Bribery Act, there would be the potential to create a zero-tolerance culture to bribery.
