Overview

Although mediation in Ukraine is not as advanced as it is in many Western European countries, it is currently developing very fast. However, many forms of Ukranian mediation such as soft debt collection, counselling, bilateral negotiations with a moderator, negotiations with intermediaries are very often considered and represented as mediation when if fact they should more accurately be described as 'quasi-mediation'. In this briefing, Integrites summarises the current situation and helps to distinguish between the two forms.
