The next piece of the PPI puzzle: Harrison v Black Horse

Overview

Judge Waksman has once again been called upon to decide a case involving the alleged mis-selling and unfairness of a single premium PPI policy.

This decision is in the High Court, and so will provide a binding precedent for the County Court, where most PPI matters are dealt with.

While the decision falls short of providing any universally applicable principles or guidance (deciding each case on its own merits remains necessary), the case is relevant to all lenders dealing with PPI mis-selling or Unfair Relationship claims – as Eversheds explains.
