Overview

On 9 September 2010, the President of the Philippines, Benigno Aquino III, issued Executive Order No. 8, which reorganised and renamed the Build-Operate and Transfer Centre (BOT Center) to the Public-Private Partnership Center (PPP Centre) of the Philippines.

Under the order, the PPP Center becomes an attached agency of the National Economic Development Authority, which is the central planning agency of the government for social and economic development.

With this realignment, the present administration is seeking to enhance and improve the coordination and monitoring of PPP programmes.
