Overview
On 20 August 2010, the UK Office of Fair Trading (OFT) published for consultation draft guidance on its Competition Act 1998 (CA) investigation procedures.
The CA contains the principal prohibitions on anti-competitive agreements and abuse of a dominant position.
The guidance seeks to cover the procedure from the opening of a case through to the final decision. The draft guidance proposes two new initiatives which are to be welcomed.
