MoJ announces timetable for implementation of the Bribery Act 2010

Overview

The MoJ has announced that the Bribery Act 2010 will come into force in April 2011. It had earlier been thought that the Act may come into force in October 2010 but the practicality of that had been questioned given that guidance needed to be published well in advance of implementation to afford organisations the necessary time to ensure that current procedures are adequate as required under the new Act.

In this briefing, Herbert Smith takes a closer look at the latest developments.
