How the new Localism Bill will affect land use planning

Overview

The Localism Bill received Royal Assent on 15 November 2011 and although is already partly in force, is not likely to be completely enacted until April 2012. This, the first in a series of briefings on the Act looks at changes in relation to planning, including a summary of the final legislation's key provisions:
