Overview
Romania’s Security and Health at Work Law was published in July 2006 in order to implement measures for improving security and health for workers.
However amendments to the procedures for implementing the law were introduced late last month, with the main goal to clarify and simplify employers’ obligations vis-à-vis employees and create more clearly defined and delimited responsibilities.
The new law increases the protection of workers, particularly in the areas of safety and accident prevention, reporting and remediation. This briefing from CEE specialist law firm Schoenherr outlines the basics.
