The combination of continued interest in foreign products and a growing desire among Chinese consumers for quality products and foreign brands has led many foreign franchisors to rush into the Chinese market, desperate to secure a place.
On 12 December 2011, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce released the revised Administrative Rules on Commercial Franchise Filing which entered into effect on 1 February 2012. The Revised Rules primarily concern changes to filing authorities and filing documents.
