A new and improved patents county court?

Overview

Many of the proposals to reform the junior Intellectual Property Court of England and Wales put forward by the Intellectual Property Court Users Committee last year will come into effect on 1 October 2010.

The amendments to the court procedural rules which will bring into effect these reforms (which include a costs cap, scale of costs for the main procedural steps, a tight procedural timetable and restrictions as to the evidence that will be admitted) have now been published.

This briefing from Wragge & Co provides an explanation of the changes and their importance.
