Hargreaves review on UK intellectual property framework

Overview

The Intellectual Property Office has published Professor Ian Hargreaves’ review on UK copyright laws.

In the review Hargreaves recommends legalising the practice of copying music and films, and relaxing the rules on parodies and other reworkings of existing content.

It also requests the setting up of a new agency to mediate between those wanting to license music, film and other digital content, and rights owners.
