The DLA Piper guide to doing business in China

Overview

The fifth edition of DLA Piper's 'Doing Business in China' guide provides comprehensive industry knowledge and insights into what it takes to successfully plan and execute business and investment strategies in the People's Republic of China.

The publication begins with economic and regulatory insights - such as China's commitments to the World Trade Organisation - and offers practical tips for managing a multitude of situations, such as setting up a business, protecting intellectual property rights and obtaining financing. The guide also evaluates laws affecting employment, the environment, taxation, and real estate. In response to feedback on previous editions, the guide now offers tips and tactics for effectively liaising with officials.

Lastly, three new chapters provide analysis and approaches for responding to the newly-implemented Anti-Monopoly Law, insolvency and restructuring, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
