Overview
Cotswold Geotechnical Holdings has become the first company to be convicted under the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007. The company was found guilty and fined £385,000 by way of sentence on 17 February.
The Gloucestershire firm was accused of corporate manslaughter following the death of 27 year old employee Alex Wright, who died of asphyxiation when a trench collapsed on him in 2008.
