Overview
Following a consultation exercise, the Financial Reporting Council has published the final version of the new Combined Code.
It has been renamed the UK Corporate Governance Code and will apply to reporting periods beginning on or after 29 June 2010.
Ashurst takes a close look at the changes that have been made from the draft version published last December, the principal one being that annual re-election of directors is recommended for FTSE 350 companies.
